Every year, ticket-holders are invited to propose ideas and vote for their favourites. The proposals with the most votes will become part of the festival, forever.
What is Lore
The Lore sets out the governing rules of Show of Hands – here to protect the land, the people and the spirit of the festival. By stepping onto the field, you agree to be part of that shared responsibility.
How the vote works
Once you’ve got a ticket, log in and take part. On the Proposals page, you’ll find ideas suggested by fellow ticket-holders – activities, traditions, ways the festival runs – and it’s also where you submit your own. Give a proposal a hands-up vote if you’re for it, hands-down if you’re not; one vote per person, per proposal. When voting closes, the most popular ideas are chosen and written into the Lore, to guide the festival this year and beyond.

1. All proposals shall better the festival’s future, its community, or spread joy.
2. Pilates shall be made wacky, under the instruction of megaphone.
3. Drag queens shall roam amongst us, offering glamour fit for the Heavens.
