Show of Hands is a rich, exciting weekend of jazz, soul, global grooves and shared experience.

We’re very proud that Show of Hands is designed to offer plenty of fun for adults as a truly grown up music festival. At the same time, kids are not only welcome, we’ve carefully built imaginative experiences especially for them, making it the perfect place for families to kick-start their bank holiday weekend and half-term together. We’ve thought about what can feel tedious at festivals for families - not enough entertainment, kids penned into one small corner, or constantly having to put your hand in your pocket for every activity, so we aren’t doing any of that.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT

The show is genuinely affordable for families with a whole weekend of entertainment starting at:

Endless Variety and Entertainment

Kids like to explore and try different things, and no two of our activities are the same. From pedal-powered energy and hands-on crafts to nature workshops and music sessions, there’s created a wide range of experiences and always something to discover.

WHAT KIDS CAN ENJOY

Kids Activities

We don’t tuck children away into one small tent. Instead, there are family activities woven throughout the festival, across our workshop, crafts and wellness spaces, and even out by the stones.

There are also adult activities they can enjoy like watching daily hot air balloon launches, trying lots of tasty food, being in the glorious, verdant beauty of Somerset’s rolling countryside, and watching our fantastic musical acts.

However, if they’re looking for something specifically for them…

Workshops and Crafts

We’re bringing beautiful, hands-on workshops like Kim from DARN IT who invites children to stitch, design and decorate, giving them space to make something of their own and let their imaginations run free. Alongside that, there’ll be plenty of fancy dress and theatrics woven through the weekend.

There are bushcrafts, foraging workshops, giant nests too.

Get loud and burn energy

Teens will have the opportunity to express themselves and burn off energy through our interactive workshops.

The Pedal Emporium brings bicycle-powered magic to Show of Hands, inviting them to jump on, pedal hard and power everything in sight, a chance to race, laugh and properly let off steam in the open air.

School of Noise gives young makers full permission to turn up the volume, experimenting with rhythm, vibration and unusual instruments in hands-on sessions that are joyful, curious and gloriously loud.

And for something that brings the energy back down, we’ll also host Parent & Child yoga sessions to reset and reconnect before heading back into the fields.

Singing and Music

You can watch, and take part in, music, performance, singalongs, and dance.

Sole Rebel bring the beats with their dedicated dance class, Pigeon and the Peacock sparks imagination through sound and story, and there is plenty of joyful singing with Bandaoke

Peaceful time activities

There are also more relaxed things to do. Our travelling library offers zen story time, while our baby chill out zone provides a softer space for little ones to rest, feed and relax away from the buzz.

Make your time more comfortable

We have car parking tickets so you can drive directly up to site, with the campsite just the next hedgerow over.

There are pre-built tent options under the Dwellings section. All you need to do is turn up and check in.

And of course, there are showers, plenty of water points, and lots of eco-friendly toilets, all for free.
